The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expanded and reshaped its organisational structure under national president Nitin Nabin, assigning key responsibilities to senior leaders as part of a wider organisational revamp.
The exercise includes fresh appointments across the party’s national team, Morchas and communication machinery, with a focus on strengthening grassroots outreach and coordination ahead of upcoming Assembly elections.
As part of the exercise, the BJP has assigned in-charge responsibilities for its various Morchas, sources told CNN-News18.
Harish Dwivedi has been assigned the Yuva Morcha, D. Purandeshwari the Mahila Morcha, Sanjay Bhatia the SC Morcha, Baijayant Panda the OBC Morcha, Lal Singh Arya the Kisan Morcha, Satish Poonia the ST Morcha and Gajendra Patel the Minority Morcha.
The party has also appointed Dr Hemang Joshi as Yuva Morcha president, Roop Kumari Choudhary as Mahila Morcha president and Bansilal Gurjar as Kisan Morcha president.
Sources said the newly appointed Morcha in-charges will, for now, oversee the functioning of their respective Morchas. They will assist in constituting the Morcha executive committees, appointing state in-charges and setting up the Morcha teams across states.
The leaders have been asked to begin the exercise in consultation with the respective Morcha presidents. The current in-charges will continue to discharge these responsibilities until permanent in-charges are appointed.
Who All Are Under Team Nabin?
The BJP recently announced a 65-member national team under party president Nitin Nabin, featuring a major organizational revamp with 51 new faces to prepare for upcoming assembly elections and the 2029 Lok Sabha polls.
The new national team comprises 13 national vice-presidents and eight national general secretaries, with Smriti Irani, Biplab Kumar Deb, Satish Poonia, Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi and Sanjay Bhatia figure among the national general secretaries.
Vinod Tawde and Sunil Bansal have been retained as national general secretaries, while B.L. Santhosh continues as National General Secretary (Organisation).
Piyush Goyal has been appointed national treasurer, while Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Ram Madhav, Baijayant Panda, D. Purandeshwari and Lal Singh Arya, among others, have been appointed national vice-presidents.
The restructuring also extends to the BJP’s communication and organisational machinery. Tarun Chugh has been given charge as national office in-charge, while Priti Gandhi has been appointed social media co-convenor.
Pradeep Bhandari and Siddharth Yadav have been appointed media co-convenors, while Deepak Mhaskey has been given charge of the party’s social media department following the restructuring of the IT setup.
The appointments are being viewed as part of the BJP’s effort to strengthen its organisational network, deepen social outreach and sharpen its electoral preparedness.
