Malappuram revenue tower project gets a push

Steps are being taken to speed up the construction of the proposed revenue tower at the Malappuram civil station. District Collector Vinay Goyal presided over a meeting held here on Thursday (September 10, 2026) to review the project, which was included in the State Budget.

The Collector directed officials to prepare a detailed master plan soon and complete the construction within the scheduled time.

The complex will be built in front of the Collector’s office at the civil station compound. It will comprise two 10-storey towers and parking space for 600 vehicles. Several government offices will be brought under one roof to make public services more accessible.

The construction will be planned without disrupting the functioning of the existing offices. The office spaces will be designed according to the requirements of each department.

The meeting also discussed starting construction without immediately shifting the existing offices.

Additional District Magistrate P.O. Sadiq, Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty’s assistant private secretary T.K. Ahmed, Malappuram municipality public works standing committee chairman Harris Amiyan, Mr. Kunhalikutty’s representatives P.A. Salam, P.K. Bava, and K.V.M. Mansoor, and senior officials of the Public Works and Public Relations departments attended the meeting.
