Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute of Technology (PVPSIT), Kanuru, Vijayawada, has been selected as an official academic hosting partner for IBM Quantum’s Qiskit Fall Fest 2026, an international event aimed at promoting quantum computing education and engagement.
Speaking at the release of the official event poster, PVPSIT principal and chief patron of the Qiskit Fall Fest, K. Sivaji Babu, said the international technology festival would be conducted on the college campus from October 5 to November 30, 2026.
He said the two-month programme would feature a series of activities designed to enhance students’ awareness, practical skills and research interest in quantum computing.
The festival will include hands-on workshops and projects on the design of quantum circuits and algorithms, as well as expert talks and mentorship sessions, said G. Sridevi, Associate Professor of Physics and Lead Organiser of Qiskit Fall Fest.
The sessions would offer opportunities for students to interact with international technology experts and scientists and gain insights into developments in quantum computing.
Student Coordinator D. Bhagyavathi said participants would receive certificates and recognition, while students demonstrating outstanding performance would be presented with appreciation certificates.
The programme would also facilitate interaction between students and international quantum technology communities and organisations.
The official poster was unveiled by Dr. Sivaji Babu at a programme attended by Dr. M. Srilakshmi, Head of the Freshman Engineering Department, and members of the college’s Quantum team — Prashanth Atmakuri, Dr. Pramila, Dr. Shilpa, Dr. Malleswari, Dr. Ganesh and Dr. Ratna Kumari.
