YSRCP leader calls for poll readiness in Vizianagaram amid Majji’s defection

YSRCP leader and Opposition Leader in AP Legislative Council and Botcha Satyanarayana became emotional and broke down during a party review meeting held at Garividi in Vizianagaram district, against the backdrop of the exit of Zilla Parishad chairperson Majji Srinivasa Rao from the party.

Mr. Satyanarayana, who is usually always composed in public could not hide his tears when local leaders recalled his efforts to strengthen the party in the district and his decision to give a free hand to Mr. Majji Srinivasa Rao, who is a close relative of the Botcha family.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satyanarayana said that the YSRCP’s strength in the district remains intact despite the resignation of some leaders. He asked party workers to ready for the upcoming local body elections. He announced that the party would hold a district-level review meeting in the next few days to chalk out the action plan for the municipal and Parishad elections.
