Asian Games 2026 India September 25 Live Updates: India will have several medal opportunities lined up in shooting, athletics, canoe sprint, equestrian and weightlifting today. The day got underway with Sugar Shanti Gayen and Kamali Prakash taking part in the women’s shortboard round 1 heat followed by the Indian dressage team competing in its final while shooters Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil and Niraj Kumar will feature in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions event. Later in the day, Seram Nirupama Devi will compete in the women’s 61kg weightlifting final from 1:30 PM.

In the men’s 400m freestyle Heats, Dhakshan Shashikumar and Aneesh Gowda haven’t progressed into the final. Aneesh Gowda finished eighth in his heat with a timing of 3:58.08 and was 17th overall. On the other hand, Dhakshan Shashikumar did finish second in his heat clocking 3:58.73 but it was only good enough for 18th overall.
